Check out the VoiceThread projects we created in 5th grade! Each student wrote a sentence describing the colors of the flags from Spanish speaking countries. Then they learned to upload the flag images and record the sentences to create a class project.
Below are links to each student's wiki page where he/she will publish various Spanish projects. Click the initials below to check out the following projects:
Alphabet VoiceThread Projects: Students worked with a partner to write an alphabet book with text and audio.
Me Gusta Poster Presentations: Students used Inspiration software to create a web depicting the activities they like and don't like to do. Recordings of their class presentations will be posted soon.
Poemas Diamantes: Each student wrote a Diamante Poem describing himself/herself using the adjectives we have learned.
Actividad y Adjectivo Wordles: Students wrote short descriptions of themselves connecting the activities they like to do and the adjectives we have learned to describe themselves. We entered these descriptions into an online tool called "Wordle" to create an artistic word web of their information.
To create a "Wordle":
1. Type your information in Microsoft Word and save it.
2. Click here to go to www.wordle.net
3. Click "Create". Copy your information from Word and paste it into Wordle.
4. Click "Go" and wait for your wordle to appear.
5. Use the menu toolbar to change the Font, Layout, and Color.
6. Take a screenshot of your wordle (see steps 1-5 below).
7. Publish your wordle on your wiki page (see steps 6-12 below).
To upload your "Poema Diamante":
1. Open Preview by clicking on the magnifying glass in the right corner & searching for Preview.
2. Click "File" - "Take a screenshot" - "from selection"
3. Click and drag the crosshairs over your poster.
4. Click "Save As" and name it "PoemaLastName"
5. Change the location to the desktop & change the format to "jpeg" and click save.
6. Go to your wiki page and login.
7. Click "edit".
8. Click "File" from the middle of the edit toolbar.
9. Click "Upload Files" from the left side.
10. Click "Desktop" from the left side.
11. Select your file. Once it is uploaded, click the file name.
12. Click "Save" from the right side of the edit toolbar and admire your project on your wiki page!
To upload your "Me gusta" poster:
1. Open Inspiration and your file.
2. Open Preview by clicking on the magnifying glass in the right corner & searching for Preview.
3. Click "File" - "Take a screenshot" - "from selection"
4. Click and drag the crosshairs over your poster.
5. Click "Save As" and name it "PosterLastName"
6. Change the location to the desktop & change the format to "jpeg" and click save.
